Why Choose the Masterbuilt Gravity Series XT

Built Like a Tank. Cooks Like a Dream.

Looking for the Masterbuilt Gravity Series XT in Perth? Hot Things is Western Australia's specialist retailer for premium charcoal BBQs and smokers. See the Gravity XT in our Balcatta showroom and get expert advice from a team who actually cooks on the products we sell.

The Masterbuilt Gravity Series XT Digital Charcoal BBQ & Smoker is the flagship of the Gravity Series range and has been engineered for serious backyard pitmasters who want authentic charcoal flavour without the constant fire management. Combining Masterbuilt's revolutionary GravityFed™ charcoal system, digital temperature control and WiFi connectivity, the XT delivers the flavour of charcoal with the convenience of a pellet grill—and the searing power of a premium charcoal barbecue.

Whether you're smoking brisket overnight, roasting whole chickens, reverse-searing steaks or cooking pizzas at high heat, the Gravity XT maintains precise temperatures from 107°C right through to 371°C with minimal effort.

Why Buy the Masterbuilt Gravity XT?

Traditional charcoal cooking delivers incredible flavour—but it usually demands constant attention.

The Gravity XT changes that.

Simply fill the charcoal hopper, light one fire starter, choose your cooking temperature and let the DigitalFan™ automatically control the fire while gravity continually feeds fresh charcoal into the burn chamber. You enjoy genuine charcoal flavour without spending all day adjusting vents.

Designed for Australian Backyard Entertaining

With an enormous 1,260 square inches (0.81m²) of cooking space spread across multiple levels, the XT easily handles large gatherings.

Cook enough food for:

Multiple briskets
Several pork shoulders
Racks of ribs
Whole chickens
Reverse-seared steaks
Burgers for a crowd
Vegetables, seafood and pizzas simultaneously

Three cooking levels make it easy to smoke low and slow while keeping finished food warm above.

Genuine Charcoal Flavour Without the Hassle

Unlike pellet grills, the Gravity XT burns real charcoal.

That means you still enjoy:

Rich charcoal flavour
Proper bark on brisket
Superior steak searing
Better smoke character
The ability to add wood chunks for authentic smoke profiles

Yet the digital controller handles temperature management for you.

It really is one of the closest things to "set and forget" charcoal cooking available today.

ExtraTough™ Construction

The XT has been redesigned from previous Gravity models with durability in mind.

Features include:

Heavy-duty steel construction
FuelSaver™ insulated body
Fibreglass mesh gasket
Porcelain-coated interior
Premium stainless steel cooking grates
Stainless steel shelves
Heavy-duty hardware throughout

These improvements help retain heat, reduce charcoal consumption and improve long-term durability.

FuelSaver™ Technology

The XT introduces Masterbuilt's new FuelSaver™ body design.

Benefits include:

Uses less charcoal
Better smoke retention
Improved heat stability
Longer cooking times
Reduced fuel costs over long cooks

Combined with the insulated body, the XT can maintain steady temperatures for extended overnight smoking sessions.

WiFi & Bluetooth Smart Control

Monitor and control your barbecue from almost anywhere using the Masterbuilt App.

The app allows you to:

Change cooking temperature
Monitor internal BBQ temperature
Watch meat probe temperatures
View cook graphs
Receive cooking alerts
Discover recipes

Perfect for overnight briskets or entertaining while the BBQ does the work.

Fast Heat-Up Times

The Gravity XT heats surprisingly quickly.

Approximate heat-up times:

107°C (225°F) in around 7 minutes
371°C (700°F) in around 11 minutes

That means you can smoke low and slow or cook steakhouse-quality seared steaks on the same machine.

GravityFed™ Charcoal Hopper

The oversized charcoal hopper holds approximately:

5.4kg lump charcoal
8.2kg briquettes

This provides up to 24 hours of uninterrupted cooking without constantly refuelling. Simply top it up and let gravity feed fresh charcoal into the fire as required.

Cooking Versatility

The Gravity XT is far more than a smoker.

Use it for:

Low & slow BBQ
Hot & fast grilling
Reverse searing
Smoking
